Every worksheet is built in your browser from your settings. The names, words and numbers you choose are not sent to a server to make it, and the same settings and sheet number always give the same sheet.
Sheet numbers and new variants
Each sheet has a number printed in its footer. Problems, grids and mazes come from that number, so a link that carries it reopens the identical sheet, answer key included. New variant picks a fresh number and gives a different sheet with the same settings.
Print letters
Print (ball-and-stick) letters are drawn from stroke data we wrote for each letter and digit: circles start near the top right and travel counter-clockwise, lines are pulled down from the top, and the order of strokes follows common US classroom teaching. The tracing dots follow the center line of each stroke; a green dot marks where the pencil goes down and pink arrows and numbers show direction and order.
School handwriting styles
Cursive and country styles use the Playwrite fonts by TypeTogether, released under the SIL Open Font License. They are modeled on the handwriting taught in each country. They are not the official materials of any education department or publisher, and the names we use describe a style, not an endorsement.
Puzzles and answer keys
Word searches place every word and tell you if one cannot fit, or if a very short word could also be found a second time. Mazes have exactly one route between any two points. Bingo sets never repeat a card. Crosswords connect your words and list any that do not share letters with the rest. Each of these is checked by automated tests before a release.
Printing and PDF
Print sends only the sheets to the printer, at their exact size. Choose Actual size or 100% in the print window so lines keep their spacing. Download PDF builds the file in your browser.
